More Cats & Octopuses
What is the plural of “octopus?” Some say “octopi” and others says “octopuses,” which are both correct. If you’re like me, you end up with Octopies! And some other punny forms of cats too, such as Meow-Bao the Catloaf, Meowpolitan Ice Cream Sandwiches, and the alliterative Cactus Cat ☺
More Plush Pun Characters
Did you know Lemon Sharks are a real kind of shark? Are you familiar with tortes and tarts as desserts? I have a lot of fun playing with words, and I find a lot of inspiration in animals and food. Inventing new food-animal-pun plushie characters brings me a lot of joy. Some puns I haven’t seen before at all, and those that do exist provide me with a fun design challenge: how can I put my spin on something familiar to make something creatively unique?
Here are some characters I invented that I’m quite proud of: Lemon Sharks, Torte-ises, Tart-les, Bat-enberg Cakes, Peanut-butter Jellyfish, and more! I also like to add some fun to functional things—like Cake Cozy covers for tissue boxes ☺
